Aseman Hotel
Thirteen floors and eighty-eight rooms above Isfahan, topped by a revolving restaurant
Aseman Hotel is a 13-floor tower in Isfahan, built near the city's historic sites. It opened in 2005, on World Tourism Day, and takes its name from the Persian word for sky. Eighty-eight rooms are spread across double, triple, suite, royal suite and apartment suite categories, each with a fridge, safe, air conditioning and satellite TV. The Royal Suite is the largest, with its own bedroom and views toward the river. On the top floor sits a revolving restaurant. It turns slowly over Isfahan. The menu runs to Persian and international dishes, served alongside a self-service buffet, while the second-floor Khorshid Café covers hot and cold drinks, desserts and fast food. A newer VIP café adds a more contemporary space for meetings and gatherings. Four event halls occupy the third and fourth floors, ranging from the Rangin Kaman Hall, which seats up to 320 for cinema-style layouts, down to the 100-person Mahtab Hall, and they can be reconfigured for conferences, weddings or classes. Guests can also use an indoor pool complex with a jacuzzi, dry sauna, steam bath and massage room. Swimming lessons run there too, open to guests aged six months and up. It is a hotel built for both business travel and Isfahan sightseeing, run at city scale rather than boutique intimacy.
