Auberge de Tourrettes is a stone building set inside the walls of Tourrettes-sur-Loup, a medieval village in the hills above the Côte d'Azur. The village is protected, its cobbled lanes and stepped alleys largely unchanged, and the auberge looks out over olive terraces and Provençal countryside toward Cap d'Antibes and the sea beyond. It is 20 km from Nice airport, roughly half an hour by car. The building has worked as a hotel and restaurant for close to sixty years. Rooms are furnished in the pale colours of Provence, each with a desk, private bathroom, and Wi-Fi. Meals are taken outdoors under a vine-covered awning, with menus built around regional produce and the season. A garden and an outdoor pool sit to one side, quiet spaces away from the square. On Wednesday mornings the village market fills the Place de la Libération just outside; boules courts ring the same square, with sets kept in a basket for anyone who wants to play. Walking trails to the Gorges du Loup start from the village itself, and the coast, rocky toward Nice and sandy toward Cannes, is a half-hour drive. The Fondation Maeght gallery lies nearby. It is a compact stay, built around one village and the view from its ramparts.
