Devil's Pool

Devil's Pool sits on the very edge of Victoria Falls, a natural rock pool where the water pauses before dropping 350 feet into the gorge below. Swimmers ease into the current and hold at the rim, the Zambezi's roar close beneath them. Access depends on the river's level: the pool is reachable only from mid-August to mid-January, before summer rains swell the flow and submerge it entirely. For the rest of the year it lies hidden under the pounding river. It is one of the more daring things to do near Victoria Falls.
