Set behind a pedestrian street in Chania's Old Town, Azade occupies a Venetian and Ottoman villa built in 1640 and restored in 2022. Zampeliou 69 sits within walking distance of the Venetian harbour, its 14th-century lighthouse, and the pedestrian lane of Theotokopoulou. Cars cannot reach the entrance; guests walk the last stretch, and staff will carry luggage if asked. The building has passed through Venetian, Ottoman and Greek hands, and past residents include the American poet Charles Henri Ford.
Nine suites are spread across the property, each high-ceilinged and finished with Cretan touches. The Superior Double runs to 39 m² with a veranda over the harbour, while the Two-Bedroom Suite reaches 97 m² and includes an accessible second bathroom. The Azade Residence adds a fireplace to its two-bedroom layout. A courtyard with a running water feature anchors the ground floor, doubling as breakfast room and lounge. Breakfast is cooked to order with Cretan produce and can be served on a private balcony instead. Rooms carry Nespresso machines, wine coolers and artisan skincare from the Cretan brand Myrro. It is a compact stay, and a quiet one, built for guests who want the Old Town at the door and the noise kept outside it.
