Savannah Chalet
Straw-bale chalets set in the valley between dunes
Skip to product information
Eight of these chalets sit apart from one another along the flat stretch of land between the dunes, facing the Main Lodge. Six were built with thick plastered straw-bale walls, giving them natural insulation against the desert heat. Each has an en-suite bathroom with shower, air conditioning, a fan, mosquito nets, a mini bar, a fridge and a tea and coffee station, plus a sleeper couch for extra guests. A private veranda or deck looks out over the surrounding valley. Solar power runs the lodge, backed up by a generator. It is a quiet, self-contained base between game drives and walks.
