Ban Sainai Resort

Set back from Ao Nang's shoreline on 6.7 acres of tropical terrain, Ban Sainai Resort sits below a sheer limestone cliff that forms a backdrop to its pool and gardens. Coconut groves and natural streams run through the grounds, and the beach itself lies 1.6 kilometres away, reached by a free scheduled shuttle. The resort opened in July 2013 with 25 cottages and has grown in stages since, most recently to 38 after renovations completed in 2024. Cottages are detached, thatched-roof, and spread with real distance between them, so privacy comes built in rather than borrowed from décor. The Grand Pond View and Serene Cottages face a still pond and include a hammock on the terrace; the Pano Cliff View Cottages, renovated in 2020, look straight at the limestone face from the bathroom. Rooms run from 49 to 70 square metres, most with soaking tubs or whirlpool spas. Sai Nai Restaurant sits beside the pond and serves Halal-certified food; alcohol and pork are not served anywhere on site. It is a dry hotel, and Ao Nang's call to prayer carries across the grounds at dawn. Krabi airport is about a 40-minute drive. The pace here is deliberately slow, closer to a village stay than a beach resort, with jungle sounds and limestone rock standing in for surf.
