Banff Sunshine Village

The snow here is the point. Runs range from gentle green trails on Mount Standish to the steep, long pitches off Goat's Eye Express, with Lookout Mountain opening onto wide, treeless terrain and views toward Mount Assiniboine. Five terrain parks are spread through the resort, from the beginner boxes of the Kids Play Park to the slopestyle jumps of Great Divide Park, sited directly on the divide itself. Advanced skiers can access Delirium Dive, a marked freeride zone reached through a gate at the top of Divide Express. It is committing terrain, avalanche gear required. Sunshine Mountain Lodge sits at the base, the only ski-in, ski-out hotel in Banff, with Deluxe Waterfall Rooms and Main Lodge Suites among its accommodation. Six eateries serve the village, from ramen at Nikko Ramen to après at Mad Trapper's. A free shuttle links the resort to the town of Banff, 8 km away, while Calgary International Airport lies 135 km east. A Parks Canada Discovery Pass is required for entry, sold online or at the park gates.
