Beachwalk Koh Rong

Arriving by ferry from Sihanoukville, guests reach Long Set Pier and walk the last ten minutes along the sand to BeachWalk. There is no road to speak of. The property sits directly on Long Set Beach, a stretch of white sand and shallow turquoise water on Koh Rong island, with bungalows built for privacy and views straight out to sea. Beach Front Bungalows face the water without obstruction, each with a private balcony, air conditioning and an open-air hot-water shower; Sea View and Garden View bungalows, finished in sandy tones that sit against the surrounding greenery, offer the same fittings a step back from the shore. A two-bedroom family bungalow, with a connecting door and its own pair of bathrooms, suits groups travelling together. Days run around a 25 m pool and an 18-hole mini-golf course, with kayaks and paddleboards free to guests. Boats go out for snorkelling, fishing and sunset trips, and on dark, moonless nights guests can swim out from the beach into water lit by bioluminescent plankton. The restaurant leans on local ingredients and regional flavour with a few Western dishes worked in. Check-in runs from 2pm, checkout at 11am. Cards are accepted on site, though the island itself runs largely on cash.
