Bergdorf Priesteregg

Set on a high plateau above Leogang, in Austria's Salzburg region, the chalet village faces the Leoganger Steinberge across open meadow and forest. Sixteen chalets and two villas are scattered through the grounds, each with its own sauna, hot tub and terrace, and each built from larch, spruce and local stone. The Berg Chalet and Premium Chalet run to 100 m² apiece, with two bedrooms, an open kitchen and a freestanding tub set beside a rock-cut shower. The Wilderer Villa stands at the forest edge on three levels, its glass front open to the valley and the Steinerne Meer beyond. It is quiet ground. Villa Etaner is the largest of the group, a 250 m² house with two suites, a garden cottage and a 14 by 4 metre infinity pool heated for year-round use. Four lakeside Seehütten sit along a 120-metre stretch of water, each with a private cove, a glass-walled sauna and direct lake access for swimming or a cold plunge after the heat. Building runs on geothermal energy, heat pumps and solar panels, with heating and cooling drawn through the concrete core. Huwi's Alm, the restaurant on site, serves regional dishes and keeps a stocked wine cellar. Breakfast is included.
