Best Western Hotel de Havelet Guernsey

Set on a hill on the edge of St Peter Port, Hotel de Havelet looks down over the harbour, Castle Cornet and the smaller Channel Islands beyond. The building began as a Georgian house and has grown through extensions over the decades, with a sheltered garden and terraces planted with flowers. It is a short walk into the lanes of St Peter Port, and the south coast cliff paths start five minutes from the door. Bedrooms are mostly double or twin, with a Junior Suite and two singles among them; Superior Rooms add bathrobes, in-room safes and smart TVs with streaming access. You can take breakfast in the first-floor Wellington Boot room, which looks out over the islands, or move downstairs to Restaurant Copenhagen for lunch, afternoon tea and dinner on a terrace above Havelet Bay. Both restaurants share the former coach house, its interior still marked by a nod to its equestrian past. A heated indoor pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi make up the health suite, reached from the lower ground floor, with a patio opening off it in summer. The lounge keeps a log fire lit through the colder months. Parking is on site, and an electric vehicle charging point is free to guests.
