Opened in 1978 under the Hopkin family, a Grenadian household still at the helm, Blue Horizons Garden Resort has held to one hillside above Grand Anse Beach for close to half a century. The resort was Grenada's first to earn Green Globe Platinum certification, a mark of its long-standing environmental practice rather than a recent gesture. Its 32 apartment-style rooms sit on sloped grounds thick with garden, and each opens to a private balcony or patio facing garden, partial sea, or town views. Studios run to 435 sq. ft.; deluxe one-bedrooms extend to 756 sq. ft., with sofa beds, writing desks, and kitchenettes throughout. The gardens are no backdrop. They shelter 27 species of tropical bird, and mornings often carry birdsong to the breakfast terrace before the heat sets in. It is a short walk to Grand Anse Beach, yet the grounds feel apart from it, closed in by forest and green. La Belle Creole, the resort's restaurant, serves Grenadian dishes built on recipes from the owner's mother, who helped shape Caribbean cooking through the 1960s; you can eat on the pool terrace with the same view guests have kept coming back for. Staff are Grenadian throughout, and the resort's approach to hospitality rests on that continuity as much as on the setting itself.
