Bluff House Beach Resort & Marina

Reached only by ferry across the channel from Treasure Cay, Bluff House sits on the highest ground of Green Turtle Cay, twelve acres of palm and pine running from White Sound to the Sea of Abaco. There is no road bridge here. Guests dock, tie up, or step off the ferry at the wharf, then move by golf cart along sandy lanes shaded by casuarina trees. The resort holds the only private beach on the cay, a stretch of white sand beside the Tranquil Turtle Beach Bar, where paddle boards and kayaks sit ready on the shore. Eight hotel suites face the water directly, each with its own balcony over the Sea of Abaco; upper-level rooms take in the sunset, lower-level rooms put you almost at the tideline. One- to four-bedroom villas and cottages spread through the grounds above White Sound, each with a kitchen and a private deck. The 40-slip marina, dredged to a seven-foot channel, gives boaters power, water and Wi-Fi at every berth. The Boathouse Bar & Restaurant looks over the harbour for breakfast and dinner, while the Tranquil Turtle serves cracked conch and rum punch through the afternoon. Snorkelling, bonefishing and reef dives run from local guides based on the cay. It is a small, old-school marina resort, and it has held its footing on this bluff since well before the island had many others.
