Bora Bora Holiday's Lodge

Set on a hillside above Vaitape, on the mountain side of the road facing Bora Bora's lagoon, this family-run lodge sits 2.7 kilometres from the Vaitape dock and about 300 metres from the Bora Bora Yacht Club. The grounds are wooded, gated and quiet, planted through with garden beds around a swimming pool and terrace. Rooms and bungalows are simply finished, with air conditioning, private bathrooms and free Wifi throughout. One bungalow, set higher on the slope, looks out over the lagoon and the pass beyond it. A two-bedroom house sleeps up to five, with its own kitchen for longer stays. One studio has been adapted for wheelchair access, with grab rails fitted in the bathroom. The lodge sorts its waste, keeps a separate smoking area, and runs its bungalows on solar power. It is a compact, low-key base rather than a resort. A car is worth renting, since the town centre lies about three kilometres away. Check-in runs from 3pm to 8pm, with early arrival possible on request.
