Set inside a stone building of historic standing in central Jyväskylä, Boutique Hotel Yöpuu turns a quiet address into a small, characterful stay. The hotel counts 26 rooms, no two alike, including two suites, 13 doubles and 11 singles. Each is furnished individually, with a television, minibar and hairdryer as standard. There is no lift. Restaurant Pöllöwaari runs the kitchen, working seasonal Finnish ingredients into à la carte plates and tasting menus, with a wine bar alongside for a glass and a slower evening. Breakfast draws on house sourdough and cooked dishes made to order, with sparkling wine offered on weekend mornings. A private one-hour sauna slot comes with every room booking, arranged directly with the hotel. Meeting rooms on site hold up to 24 people, fitted with screens and wireless internet, and convert easily into private dining space for groups. The courtyard links every service under one roof, from check-in to dinner to the sauna at day's end. Parking is limited to 13 spaces at the rear and in a small hall, filled in order of arrival; four electric charging points are also on site. The hotel keeps a pet-free policy throughout, restaurant included. Guests booking directly get the better rate and the sauna slot thrown in.
