Brennia Kottefaru

Brennia Kottefaru is a 12-hectare island in Raa Atoll, reached by a 40-minute seaplane transfer from Velana International Airport. The island holds 187 villas across 13 categories, split between beach-facing rooms and villas raised over the lagoon. Bougain Villas sit under tree cover near the island's centre, at 57.4 m² each, while Beach Villas run larger at 111 m² with direct sand access. Water Villas stand on stilts above the lagoon at 68 m², and the Deluxe Water Pool Villa adds a private pool within its 108.3 m² footprint. The Presidential Suite, a single overwater residence with its own pool, tops the range. Dining spreads across Sunset Grill, Manta and Lime, covering an international buffet, Asian-fusion à la carte and a grill menu, with drinks at the main bar, La Pella, which also runs a karaoke night. The spa sits mid-island among planted greenery, with 18 treatment rooms plus a separate foot-spa lounge by the pool. A gym and yoga sessions round out the wellness offer. Divers and snorkellers work the surrounding reef and lagoon, with guided trips to manta, turtle and dolphin points nearby. The beach itself runs long and wide, among the largest of any resort island in the Maldives. It is a big island by local standards, and it feels it.
