Free-roaming Cheetah Experience
Meet South African cheetahs adapted to their reserve home
Skip to product information
Buffelsdrift introduced South African cheetahs to guests in April 2020, after the animals had spent two years settling into the reserve. The activity centres on education, giving guests a chance to learn about this predator within its natural environment rather than a caged setting. The outing runs three to four hours, starting from the Look-out Lounge at eight in the morning. Guides use the time to explain cheetah behaviour and habitat, framing the visit as a platform for conservation awareness rather than simple viewing.
