Heritage Nature Walk

This is a walking trail through the Klein Karoo's landscape of red sandstone outcrops, covering about five kilometres at an easy pace. Guests gather at the main lodge and are driven by game vehicle to the trailhead, then set out on foot with a guide. The route takes roughly four hours, depending on how quickly the group moves, and departs at 06:00 in summer or 08:00 in winter. Along the way, the guide points out the geology and history behind the terrain. It suits guests wanting a slower, closer look at the reserve than a vehicle-based safari allows.
