Cabañas Raupa

Tahai, on Easter Island's western shore, is where Cabañas Raupa sits, a short stretch of grass and garden between the town centre and the Pacific. Playa Pea lies 200 metres off, and the ocean itself is barely 100 metres from the door. The four cabins, ranging from 36 to 70 square metres, are scattered through a shared garden that guests are free to wander. Each is self-contained: private terrace, furnished and independent, full kitchen with cookware and crockery, and a private bathroom with hot water and towels supplied. The largest sleeps six across three bedrooms; the smallest suits two. It is a compact, walkable base. Ahu Tahai, the moai site favoured for watching the sun go down, is 600 metres away, and Hanga Vare Vare, where the Tapati festival is staged, is closer still at 200 metres. The anthropological museum is a 750-metre walk. A minimarket sits almost at the gate, ten metres out, useful for anyone cooking in rather than heading into town. Ximena, the host, runs the property directly, arranging airport transfers and answering by WhatsApp throughout a stay. Rooms are cleaned daily. The airport itself is 2 kilometres off, close enough that Hanga Roa's restaurants and shops are within easy walking reach of the garden gate.
