Cappadocia Sweet Cave
Carved from the soft volcanic rock of Ortahisar, the rooms at Cappadocia Sweet Cave keep their stone walls bare and their floors in travertine, cool underfoot even with heating set into the slab. Each of the five room types, from Stone Room to King Suite, runs to 45 m² and comes with its own Turkish bath and a jacuzli tub tucked into the curve of the rock. Fireplaces sit opposite the beds. Mini bars, safes, and wardrobes are built into the stone rather than added to it, and lighting is recessed into the floor line rather than hung from the ceiling. Windows and terraces face the valley, and mornings open with a spread breakfast of local, organic produce, taken between 8am and 11am. It is a compact stay, five rooms in total, and quiet by design. Pets are allowed in the rooms. Staff arrange transfers from Nevşehir and Kayseri airports and can book balloon flights, ATV runs, and valley tours, including the Green Tour through Ihlara and the Derinkuyu underground city. Parking and Wi-Fi are free throughout, and housekeeping is available around the clock. Check-in runs from 2pm, checkout by noon, with a cleaning window between those hours when rooms are unavailable for either.
