Casa Barichara Boutique
Built from wood, stone and rammed earth, Casa Barichara Boutique reads as an extension of the town around it. Walls are thick and pale, rooms open onto gardens, and the architecture keeps its lines simple, letting the material carry the interest rather than ornament. It is a small house. Eight rooms sit inside gardens dense with native plants, some grown for the kitchen, and the whole property caps at 18 guests, so the pool and terrace rarely feel crowded. That terrace looks straight at the Yariguíes range, and from a hammock on the lawn you can watch the ridge line change colour through the afternoon. Breakfast is made in house each morning, drawing on herbs and fruit grown steps from the kitchen door. A library sits off the main terrace, stocked for slow reading rather than display. The hotel takes adults and children over ten, and does not accept pets, which keeps the gardens quiet. Behind the calm surface is a working set of habits: water and energy use are monitored, waste is sorted on site, and ingredients are bought regionally where possible, part of a broader local initiative the hotel backs in Barichara. Rooms carry Wi-Fi and smart TVs, and parking includes electric vehicle charging. Check-in runs from 2pm, check-out at 11am.
