Set inside a restored seventeenth-century house in Cartagena's walled Old Town, Casa Claver occupies thick colonial walls a short walk from the city's ramparts and harbour. The building keeps its original stone and timber details while the interiors run modern: clean lines, air conditioning, smart TVs. It is a small hotel, just five room types. Standard Rooms measure 50 m²; Deluxe Rooms extend to 80 m². The lofts go further. The Standard Loft spans 100 m² with its own sitting area, dining space and kitchen, the Deluxe Loft 125 m², and the Premium Loft 150 m², built for families with a separate lounge and stove. A rooftop pool and sun terrace sit above the street noise, with a steam sauna for after the heat of the day. From the roof you can pick out the line of the old walls against the harbour beyond. Cartagena's colonial quarter unfolds directly outside the door, its plazas and church towers within walking distance. Check-in runs from 9am, checkout at 4pm, both subject to availability, and airport transfers are arranged for longer stays. The result is a compact, well-run base inside the walls, built more for wandering the old streets than for lingering indoors.
