Casa del Mar Langkawi
A small Mediterranean-style beachfront stay on Pantai Cenang's shoreline
Skip to product information
Built low along Pantai Cenang in a Mediterranean idiom of white walls and timber shutters, Casa del Mar Langkawi keeps its footprint small: 33 rooms and suites, each with sliding glass doors that open straight onto sea air. Natural timber flooring runs underfoot. The Beachfront Studio Suite, at 42 m², steps directly onto the sand; the Seaview Deluxe Suite, the largest at 70 m², has a parquet-floored bedroom and two balconies, one fitted with a hammock. Rooms are compact by design, favouring outlook over scale. From the balconies, the Andaman Sea sits close enough that you can hear waves at night. La Sal restaurant serves modern Asian and Western dishes with a beach view, while La Luna sets a single table on the sand for a seven-course dinner after sunset. Satkara Spa handles the wellness side, and a pool sits between the rooms and the shore. Beyond the property, Langkawi's limestone coast and mangrove channels are reachable by boat, and the island's dry season from October to April draws migratory birds to its ridgelines. The hotel arranges snorkelling trips to Pulau Payar, an hour out by boat, and sunset cruises through the surrounding islands. It is a compact stay, built for the beach in front of it rather than the island behind.
