Casa Grande Suites

Furnished in contemporary lines but built on local craft, Casa Grande Suites reads as a private residence scaled up into 36 suites. Set in the Zona Calacoto district of La Paz, near the city's commercial core, it was the first five-star hotel to open in the South Zone. Every suite carries a living room and dining area, flat-screen televisions, and a docking station for speakers. The King Suites run to 42 square metres. Twin Suites measure 44 square metres, each with two full beds. Family Suites stretch to 65 square metres across two bedrooms and a kitchenette, enough for four guests. The Presidential Suite tops the list at 72 square metres, with two bathrooms and a separate dining room. Downstairs, Mezzo Bistró serves international dishes by day and turns into a bar by night, with a fireplace and leather chairs for guests who'd rather sit still. A small gym offers weight and cardio equipment alongside dry and steam saunas and a jacuzzi. Two meeting rooms and full catering support handle business groups. Check-in runs from 1pm. Rooms come with heating, blackout blinds, and windows that actually open — a detail that matters at La Paz's altitude, where the air outside runs thin and cool.
