Turquoise water surrounds every villa here, shallow enough at the shore for a child to wade in unaided. Centara Mirage Lagoon Maldives sits in North Malé Atoll, reached by speedboat in under forty minutes from the capital. The resort opened in 2024 and carries an underwater theme through its 145 beach and overwater villas, each built around a lagoon view rather than a garden one. Overwater villas run from 54 to 64 m², several with a jacuzzi set on a private deck above the reef. Family houses go further: a four-bedroom beach house spans 180 m², and its Mirage version, at 196 m², adds a separate wing of bunk beds for eight children. A lazy river winds past the pool. Water slides and a splash zone sit beside a kids' club, and a spa offshoot called Candy Spa runs manicures for guests aged four to eleven. SPA Cenvaree handles the adult end of things, with treatments drawn from Thai practice. Three restaurants and several bars cover the rest of the day, including one built for Thai food and another for Italian. Snorkelling gear and pedal boats are available at the shore. Housekeeping visits twice daily in most rooms. The reef closest to the beach is thin on coral, so keener snorkellers should book one of the resort's boat excursions instead.
