Central Suite Residence

Central Suite Residence is a 32-room hotel on Sok San Road, in the Old Market area of Siem Reap. It stands close to the town centre, a short walk from its bars, restaurants and shops, yet the building keeps its own quiet inside. Rooms and suites take a temple motif in their decor, a nod to the ruins that draw most guests to this stretch of Cambodia. Each has air conditioning, a flat-screen TV and a private balcony; many bathrooms fit a bathtub. Four Resident Rooms sit at the top of the room range. Downstairs, the Grand View Restaurant serves Khmer, Asian and Western dishes through the day, with al fresco tables by the pool and an extensive wine list. A spa and bar round out the amenities. The Angkor Archaeological Park is a 20-minute tuk tuk ride away, and the hotel's tour desk arranges half-day visits to Angkor Wat or longer circuits through Preah Khan, Ta Som and the Rolous group of temples. Trips further out reach Kulen Mountain, a silk farm, and the floating villages of Tonlé Sap Lake, seasonal rainfall permitting. Guarded parking runs around the clock, and the property has an elevator and wheelchair access. It is a compact stay, built for a base rather than a destination in itself.
