Chalet Royalp Hotel & Spa
A cyclist's chalet in Villars, run by a rider who means it

Villars-sur-Ollon sits above the vineyards of the Rhône valley, and the roads climbing out of it double as training ground and playground. The Col de la Croix and Col du Pillon rise nearby, both regular stages of the Tour de Romandie and Tour de Suisse, and the UCI World Cycling Centre in Aigle is a short drive away. Chalet RoyAlp has built its identity around this terrain. A secured workshop with a full Park Tool set-up and bike wash sits off the lobby. Rooms pair timber, stone and marble, most with private terraces facing the Alps; Junior Suites add generous volume in the same materials. After a ride, the spa's pool, sauna and hammam are open to all guests, and sports massage can be booked on request. The kitchen adjusts menus for cyclists, energising breakfasts through to lighter dinners, and the seasonal Le Rochegrise restaurant carries the Fait Maison mark for home cooking. Guided rides run in small groups or privately, in five languages. It is a compact, working base for a wider landscape of passes, vineyards and forest track.
