Chindeni Bushcamp

Chindeni sits on the edge of a permanent oxbow lagoon inside South Luangwa National Park, with the Chindeni Hills visible across the water. The camp holds four tented chalets — three standard rooms and one two-bedroom, two-bathroom family tent — each raised on wooden decking above the lagoon. From the private deck of each tent you can watch elephant, hippo, and zebra at the water, and the lagoon draws large concentrations of migratory birds at certain times of year.

The tents are spacious and built under vaulted canvas ceilings, with a sitting area, en suite bathroom including both bath and shower, double vanities, and hammocks on the veranda. Beds are two queens or one king, fitted under curtained mosquito nets. The family tent's main bedroom follows the same arrangement; the second bedroom has two single beds. That family tent also comes with a dedicated private guide and vehicle.

The shared lounge and dining deck is built across several levels around ebony trees, looking out over the lagoon. Activities include game drives, guided walking safaris, and birding. A complimentary airport shuttle is included, and the camp operates on eco-friendly principles with battery charging available for cameras and devices.

The camp runs from May through to the end of December.
