Clarence River Bed and Breakfast

Arriving by boat is an option here as much as by car: the property keeps its own ramp and wharf on the Clarence River, giving guests direct water access for fishing, watersports, or simply tying up for the night. Set on 16 acres at Seelands, 18 km from Grafton, the bed and breakfast holds four timber-toned rooms upstairs, each with a queen bed, ensuite, two-person bathtub, and a private balcony facing the river or the garden. Wallabies and birds move through the grounds regularly; echidnas and koalas appear less often, to the delight of anyone with a camera ready. A separate three-bedroom cottage on site sleeps larger parties. The grounds add a pool, sauna, barbecue deck with pizza oven, hammocks, and kayaks for slow afternoons on the water. Breakfast is included and cooked to order, with dinners built around a single nightly dish rather than a full menu. It is an unhurried kind of stay. A two-storey guesthouse, under construction since 2021, is due for completion by the end of 2026, expanding the property without changing its working, hands-on character.
