Cobo Bay Hotel
A family-run beach hotel on Guernsey's west coast
Skip to product information
Set directly across the coast road from the sand at Cobo Bay, the hotel looks west along Guernsey's coast, three miles from St Peter Port. It is family-owned, with 34 en-suite rooms, fourteen of them facing the sea with a balcony over the bay. Two large balconies run the length of the front elevation, split into sections by railings, so each room gets its own strip of view. The Superior Double Room with sea view has a four-poster bed and a free-standing roll-top bath. Below, the Beach Terrace is a sheltered deck built for al fresco meals, with an outdoor bar open through the warmer months. You can watch the sun set from the terrace or a room balcony, since the coast here faces west. The restaurant works fresh Guernsey seafood and shellfish into its menus, much of it landed in the bay itself during summer. There is no pool and no garden, though the front of the hotel gives guests somewhere to sit and take in the bay. A two-way road separates the hotel from the beach, quieted by a 25mph limit and speed bumps either side. Check-in runs from 2pm. The hotel has held a Gold Award from Visit Guernsey and hosts a long-running summer series of Balcony Gigs on the seafront.
