Whale watching in season

From July to November, humpback whales migrate along this stretch of the Mozambique coast, and Colina Verde's terrace looks straight out over their path. Guests can watch them breach and play from the villa's decks with no need to leave the property, coffee in hand. For a closer view, a boat trip out into the open ocean can be arranged, putting guests nearer the pods as they surface and dive. It suits wildlife photographers as much as anyone content to watch from a chair, and the sighting window runs across five months of the year.
