Coliseum Beach Resort

Arriving guests check in online and settle into a stretch of coast where coloured cliffs run down to natural springs along the shore. The beach itself, Praia das Fontes, is known locally for caves cut into the rock, including one reached by a short walk. The hotel's water park sits right against this view, with a circular pool over 150 metres long, water slides and a shallow area for younger children, all included in the daily rate. Meals run on an all-inclusive plan from breakfast through late-night snacks, served buffet-style or à la carte across a handful of restaurants and bars, most facing either the sea or the hotel's lake. Rooms range from garden-facing apartments to sea-view suites and chalets, several sleeping up to five. It is a family-driven property. Kids have their own club, a mini zip-line course and a working farm with more than sixteen species of animal; adults get a snack bar by the water, a jogging track, and a chapel set on a bluff with views over the sea and lake. Pets are welcome, with a dedicated pet area open through the afternoon. For groups, the property runs seventeen event rooms, the largest holding up to 1,500 people. Towels are provided; nothing extra to pack for the pool.
