Copper and Lumber Store Historic Inn

The Copper & Lumber Store Hotel is a restored 18th-century storehouse in Nelson's Dockyard, English Harbour. It once held copper, lumber and other goods for the maritime trade that passed through the harbour, and the name has stuck. Original wooden beams and brickwork remain throughout the building. The hotel holds 14 suites and studios, each named after one of Lord Nelson's ships or their commanders and furnished in period style, with guests able to self-cater during their stay. Downstairs, the Mainbrace Restaurant & Pub opens onto the Georgian dockyard marina, where yachts berth throughout the year. The courtyard seats guests among the same stone walls and timber beams, kept cool and shaded by the old construction.
