Cora Hotel
Set back in a quiet residential corner of Split, a short drive from the old town, Cora occupies a building first raised in 1973 and since fully reworked inside. The result reads as modern rather than historic: clean lines, warm lighting, and a residential calm at odds with the tourist churn a few streets away. It is a compact hotel, with 34 rooms across comfort, superior and suite categories, each fitted with air conditioning, a writing desk, and a walk-in shower with underfloor heating. Superior rooms split between courtyard and street outlooks; the junior suite adds a lighter, more open layout with the same bed linen and turndown service found throughout. A panoramic lift rises to Cora Caffe, the rooftop bar, where the view splits two ways: mountains on one side, the city skyline on the other. You can order a handcrafted drink there and watch both change colour at dusk. Downstairs, a wellness centre and fitness room cover the practical side of a stay, alongside a small conference space for anyone mixing business with the coast. The front desk runs around the clock, and pets are welcome by request. It is not a resort, and does not try to be one. Cora functions instead as a considered base near Split's centre, built for guests who want design and quiet over spectacle, with the old city close enough to reach on foot or by a short ride.
