Cornerstone Guesthouse

Set in the old quarter of Swakopmund on Namibia's Skeleton Coast, Cornerstone Guesthouse holds nine bed-and-breakfast rooms and four self-catering apartments. The guesthouse is a two-minute walk from the town centre and five minutes from the beach. Six double or twin rooms and three family rooms accommodate two adults and one or two children under twelve. Each room opens onto a private patio with table and chairs; inside are tile or wood floors, double or twin beds, and an en-suite bathroom with a solar-assisted shower. All rooms have satellite television, complimentary wireless internet, a mini-fridge, kettle with tea and coffee, and a digital safe.

The four self-catering apartments sleep up to six guests, each with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Atlantik Sicht and An Der Mole sit metres from the sea; both have private balconies facing the Atlantic, barbecues, and double garages. Moringa Gardens is a penthouse in the town centre with 270-degree views over Swakopmund and the Namib dunes. Brückendorf is a townhouse in a secure complex, a two-minute walk from the main beach, with stairs to an elevated deck overlooking the ocean. All apartments include fully equipped kitchens, washing machines, and free wireless internet.

Breakfast at the guesthouse is cooked to order. Staff arrange bookings for marine cruises in Walvis Bay, guided quad-bike trails through the dunes, and living-desert tours. Same-day laundry and airport transfers are available. Secure off-street parking is standard.
