Water threads through nearly every room here: balconies at Country House Resort look down bluff-side gardens to the blue reach of Sister Bay. The resort holds 46 rooms and suites across ten room types, a quarter mile off the main highway and within walking distance of downtown Sister Bay. Most rooms carry a private balcony facing the water; suites add gas fireplaces and two-person whirlpools. The Penthouse Suite takes the top floor of the main building, 1,600 square feet with its own balcony over a three-tier fountain and a wide view of the bay beyond. The Carriage House stands apart from the main building, a two-storey unit with open beams and a whirlpool, its balcony catching the tree line and glimpses of water past the yard. Second-floor suites add a loft bedroom under a dormer window, reached by a stair above the great room. It sleeps up to six. Grounds run to flower beds, fountains, a fire pit and a pool deck; guests can borrow bikes to reach the shops and restaurants nearby. Breakfast is included, and coffee and tea sit ready in the lobby through the day. The building sits on a low bluff, so even ground-floor balconies clear the garden for a line of sight to the water. Check-in is straightforward, and the resort takes dogs.
