Creta Maris Beach Resort
Beachfront resort near Hersonissos, with waterpark, six restaurants, and rooms across three sections
Skip to product information
Set on a sandy beach beside Hersonissos, Creta Maris Resort spreads its rooms and suites across three separate sections, each with balconies or terraces facing the water or the gardens behind it. Free sunbeds and umbrellas line the shore. Every room carries the same basics: air conditioning, satellite TV, a minibar, and a bathtub rather than a shower stall alone. Food and drink run to six restaurants and seven bars, enough range that a week here need not repeat a menu. Families gravitate to the waterpark, with its slides and aqua towers, and to an open-air cinema screening after dark. The spa leans into a hammam tradition, with steam rooms, cabins fitted with bathtubs, and marble-slab treatments finished under gentle micro-showers. A separate outdoor pavilion is kept for guests in the Exclusive Adult Rooms. Inland, the resort has built a farming partnership on the Lassithi Plateau, and produce grown there under organic regenerative methods now reaches the restaurant kitchens. The fitness centre runs daily classes with trainers on-site, plus a heated indoor pool for laps or aquarobics. It is included in the all-inclusive rate. Beyond the grounds, the property arranges e-bike routes into the island's interior, hikes to gorges and Venetian aqueducts, and beginner scuba dives in a nearby bay. Check-in and pool hours aside, the resort reads as a self-contained base with the beach as its constant.
