Dannegården
Set inside a shipowner's villa built in 1910, Hotell Dannegården stands on Strandgatan in central Trelleborg, close to the town harbour and museum quarter. Twenty-six rooms hold 58 beds between them, each named for a city and furnished differently, from a Paris room with leopard-print accents to a Tokyo single with an industrial edge and a rooftop view. Some open onto a courtyard where a pool and hot tub sit beside a walled garden used for lounging, boules and outdoor dinners under a canopy of greenery. A handful of rooms take dogs, and one suite has a hand-hammered copper bathtub beneath a balcony facing the harbour. The restaurant works with small wine and beer producers and keeps its own courtyard bar going through summer. You can hear the Friday after-work crowd gather there from around 4pm. Conference rooms take groups from two up to 45, with wireless AV and a kitchen team that treats the coffee break as seriously as the menu. Golf courses ring the town within a short drive, including one ranked among Sweden's top fifty. Check-in runs from 3pm, checkout by 11am, and parking is free.
