Spread across four coastal bases — Sanur, Lembongan, Tulamben and Pemuteran — Bali Diving Academy works the full arc of Bali's east and northwest shoreline rather than a single reef. From Sanur, day boats run to Nusa Penida and Padangbai. From Tulamben, divers walk straight off the black sand to the USAT Liberty wreck. Pemuteran opens onto the walls of Menjangan Island and a coral restoration site divers can visit after dark. Candidasa, on the east coast, faces exposed rock reefs where white-tip and black-tip sharks hold in the current. The school runs PADI training from beginner discovery dives to advanced specialties, including a shark conservation course based at Candidasa. It is built for movement rather than a single stay. Multi-day safaris link the bases by road and fast boat, threading together wreck, wall and drift diving over three to ten days and up to twenty-seven dives. Currents around Penida and Lembongan run strong, and July to October brings the chance of Mola Mola sightings at Crystal Bay. You can expect early pickups, most safaris starting before 8am. Diving here rewards range over stillness: reef one day, wreck the next, open water drift after that.
