Dream Beach Lodge

Set in a wooded three-hectare estate midway along the coast toward Ponta Malongane, Dream Beach sits above a quiet stretch of sand reached by a wooden walkway. The lodge holds ten standard chalets, five deluxe chalets, several family cottages and two six-sleeper houses, all self-catering. The two houses face the sea directly and share the walkway down to the beach; the chalets and cottages, grouped around a pool, look inland instead and reach the sand by a path over the dune, about 300 metres off. Houses sleep six across three bedrooms with three bathrooms, air-conditioned throughout, with washing machines and satellite TV. Chalets are simpler: en-suite rooms with a fridge and ceiling fan, sharing a communal kitchen and braai area. Cottages fall between the two, most with two en-suite bedrooms, a private kitchen and a covered patio for cooking outdoors. Sand tracks in mean a 4x4 is recommended. A manager is on site daily, backed by 24-hour security. You can walk from the pool to the dune path in a few minutes, or take the wooden stairway straight down from the houses. The beach itself stays secluded, screened by the dune forest on either side. It is a plain, practical base for divers, surfers and anyone content to cook their own supper after a day on the sand.
