DREAMCATCHER is a block from the sand in Ocean Park, San Juan's beach district, with Old San Juan about ten minutes away by car. It is the city's only vegetarian hotel and takes adults only. Nineteen rooms make up the property, each fitted differently: the Aya Suite has stained-glass windows, while the Duna Suite runs to a wrap-around terrace with a hammock and an outdoor tub. Rooms carry air conditioning, a mini-fridge, a safe, hypoallergenic pillows and organic toiletries as standard. A pool sits at the centre of the property, framed by a private courtyard where light filters through the trees. Guests can snorkel off nearby Escambron Beach or head out with a local guide to waterfalls inland. The kitchen serves a vegetarian breakfast and fresh local juice, and a beverage and snack bar runs around the clock. Yoga classes take place under the open sky, and there is a communal workspace for anyone working between swims. Check-in starts at 4pm and quiet hours run from 10pm to 8am; no parties are allowed. It is a compact stay, built for two rather than a family, with beach chairs, yoga mats and bicycles-free parking on the street included.
