Duffin Cove
Set into a rocky cove on Tofino's edge, Duffin Cove faces the open Pacific with a cluster of studios, cabins and a two-bedroom condo, each turned toward the water. The cliff-top rooms, built in 2019, sit above the shoreline with balconies framing Clayoquot Sound; the oceanfront cabins sit lower, reached by fifty steps down to the cove itself, close enough to hear the surf through the wall. Eagles work the shoreline at low tide. Rooms come with kitchenettes or full kitchens, tea and coffee facilities, and rain-head showers in the oceanfront bathrooms. It is a short walk into town. The Premium King and Double Studios occupy the newer cliff-top buildings, with rain showers positioned to catch the water view, while the older Oceanfront Cabins keep guests at sea level, wood-fired and weather-facing. The condo, across the parking area from the main rooms, sleeps up to six across two bedrooms and a pull-out sofa, though its cove view is limited to the kitchen and main bedroom. Clayoquot Sound around the property is a UNESCO biosphere region, and the lodging uses biodegradable bath products in keeping with that. Guests can walk to Tofino's restaurants and shops in minutes, then return to a deck for the tide going out. Free parking and Wi-Fi are standard throughout.
