Eco-Logic Thailand

Paksong village, in Chumphon province, sits on Thailand's land bridge south, close enough to Ranong to reach the Andaman coast and islands like Koh Phayam in a single day trip. Eco-Logic Thailand runs along a small river here, its bungalows, guestrooms and dormitory set among rainforest rather than sand, with the sea kept a deliberate distance off. The water out front runs shallow in dry season, deep enough after rain for a proper swim, and a pebble beach along the bank gives children somewhere to build small dams. Three bungalow types face the river and jungle beyond it; the Family Jungle Bungalow adds a rooftop deck and a second bedroom fitted with bunks for younger guests. Day trips run west to the coast: a long-tail boat crosses to islands and reef for snorkelling, and a five-kilometre beach inside a national park lies about an hour's drive away, its shallows calm enough for children to wade freely. Meals come from an on-site organic farm and food forest, served at a restaurant with a zero-waste policy. It is a working base, not a resort. Guests can join sunrise yoga at a shala above the river, and the sound of water running past never quite fades from the rooms.
