Eco Sanctuaries

Arrival here means walking. There is no road to the property, so guests come by 4x4 to a drop point, then on foot along the sand for up to ten minutes, luggage carried by staff. Rooms come in two forms. The Beachfront Lodge has a sea-view balcony, a mini garden, and outdoor chairs, sleeping up to four with two queen beds. The Beachfront Cabin is smaller, built for two, with a single queen bed and a thermos of hot water refilled daily. Furniture, artwork, and even soap and shampoo are made by Palawan locals, and coffee in the room comes from Filipino farmers nearby. There is no air conditioning or television; stand fans and sea breeze do the work instead. The in-house Kawan Restaurant serves Filipino dishes from garden-grown produce, open until 9pm, and a beachfront yoga shala hosts classes when a guest teacher is in residence. Housekeeping runs daily until 6pm.
