Guests arrive at Eden Woods along the Vallakadavu road into Munnar, in Kerala's Pallivasal hills, where a forest stream runs past the resort's 30 villas. Each villa holds two suites, built with couples and families in mind, and every balcony looks out over the water, the valley, or the surrounding tea plantations. Room types vary by feature rather than by size alone: Whispering Pines and Misty Cabin add a private bathtub or open-air shower, Serenity Springs comes with a jacuzzi, and Enchanted Haven has its own pool villa, off-limits to children under 12. Cottages run from 480 to 610 square feet, each with a bedroom, living room, and private balcony. An infinity pool sits close enough to the stream that swimmers feel level with it. A tree-top watchtower by the riverbank gives a wider view of the ranges and the plantations below. The spa runs both Kerala Ayurveda treatments, guided by resident doctors, and Western programmes such as Swedish and deep-tissue massage. Evenings bring a riverside campfire and, on request, a candlelight dinner set up in the trees. Guests can also join a tea-plucking session in the estate's gardens or take a morning walk along the river through nearby villages. Check-in runs from 2pm. Pets are not permitted, and rooms are non-smoking throughout.
