Check-in puts guests straight onto the beach at Faliraki, where Elysium Resort & Spa has stood since 2009. The resort is spread across three low buildings of contemporary design, all fronting the sea. Rooms run from Premium Guestrooms at 30 square metres to the Presidential Suite at 115 square metres, and every category, standard or Elite Club, keeps a sea view. The Elite Club tier adds its own reception and lounge, plus a separate breakfast room with panoramic views over the water. Suite bathrooms come with hydro-massage tubs and, in the Presidential Suite, twin bedrooms with parquet and walnut-toned furniture. A lagoon-style pool sits apart from the beach for guests who prefer still water. Dining centres on Noble Restaurant, where the kitchen has researched old Rhodian recipes and built a menu around them; Senses Café and Almyra Beach Bar cover lighter meals and evening drinks. The Serenity Spa runs ESPA treatments for guests wanting a slower day indoors. It is a resort built for length of stay, not a stopover. Wi-Fi is free throughout, and most rooms carry Nespresso machines and turndown service as standard. The effect is consistent room to room: dark wood floors, satin linen, balconies angled to the water, and staff who, by the property's own account, have stayed with the resort for years.
