Esplanade Saarbrücken
Two Michelin stars in Saarbrücken, tables set for six or more by arrangement
Skip to product information
Dinner here means a two-Michelin-star kitchen run by chef Silio Del Fabro, who took over in 2017 and earned his second star in 2021. Vegetables and herbs arrive same-day from a nearby city farm; the kitchen also holds a stake in a regional biodynamic grower network, a rare structural commitment for a restaurant this decorated. Guests choose à la carte, a tasting menu running five to nine courses, or a shorter weekday lunch service. It is a serious wine list. Beyond the restaurant, the property sits at Max-Ophüls-Platz, close to the Saarland Museum, Saarbrücken Castle and the State Theatre, with the Saar River promenade a short walk off. Rooms are modern and air-conditioned, fitted with Nespresso machines and GHD dryers, and there is a bar for guests who want a drink before or after dinner. Groups of six or more can arrange a tailored menu in advance.
