Esprit Caraibe

Set back from the beaches of Saint-François, at Baie Olive, Esprit Caraïbe occupies a patch of dry forest that has kept much of its wild character. Three gîtes stand within a single garden conceived as a small conservatory of local plant life, each converted from an old creole cabin and rebuilt with a wide deck terrace. The look is Caribbean, layered with pieces of original artwork rather than off-the-shelf decor. Cabane dans les Arbres is the smallest, a 30 m² timber cabin raised off the ground, part tree house and part boat, with a kitchen and dining area downstairs and a bedroom and bathroom above. La Kaz à Mô sleeps up to five across 50 m², its upper floor opening wide onto the garden through full glazing. You can hear the dry forest close in at night, cicadas standing in for traffic. Guests cook in fully equipped kitchens and take breakfast or evening drinks on their own terrace furniture. The site sits within walking or short driving distance of Saint-François's beaches, a colonial-era house-museum, and a stretch of coastline at Anse des Rochers. Private parking and internet are included. It suits couples and small groups who want distance from resort strips without losing comfort.
