Estancia Bohemia

Set behind an eighteenth-century archway off Plaza Vieja, Estancia Bohemia occupies the Palace of the Conde de Lombillo, a former noble residence dated to 1780. Its white and blue façade and inner courtyard recall the Mediterranean building style Spanish settlers brought to colonial Havana, restored without stripping out the original structure. Three room categories are offered: Bohemia Blue, Bohemia Red, and the Bohemia Ensuite, each with a kitchenette and living area. Suites go further. Bathrooms are finished in handcrafted Sardinian tile, with deep soaking tubs, Frette linen, and Illy espresso machines standard throughout. Café Bohemia operates as the hotel's restaurant and a small cultural salon, named for Ricardo Sáenz, former director of Bohemia magazine and father of the owner. Breakfast is served on the terrace facing the plaza or in the private courtyard, and the kitchen pairs Cuban ingredients with Italian technique, including house-made pasta. You can hear live Cuban music from the courtyard tables most evenings. A twenty-four-hour concierge arranges cigar and rum tastings, vintage car tours, and salsa lessons across the old town. The hotel sits a short walk from the Havana Planetarium and the city's cluster of small museums.
