Estancia Cortaderas

Built around the wing shooting and fishing trade that has drawn hunters to Entre Ríos for decades, Estancia Cortaderas sits north of Buenos Aires in a province known for its bird numbers. The lodge runs a full mixed-bag calendar. Doves and pigeons fill the warmer months from September to April; ducks and partridge take over from May to August, alongside cast-and-blast trips pairing dove shooting with dorado fishing on nearby waters. Rooms are simple and functional: each has two queen beds, heating and air conditioning, a private bathroom, and a patio facing the open countryside. You can watch the fields change light from that patio before the morning hunt. Guides know the local bird patterns and manage the field days, while the lodge itself runs on a rhythm of shared meals and evening fires rather than turned-down beds and spa menus. There is a wine cellar stocked with Argentine labels, and a dining room that serves full Argentine spreads after the day's shooting. It is not a resort.
