Cycle Mashatu

A mountain bike safari through the Northern Tuli Game Reserve, following paths worn by elephants over generations. Rangers lead the ride, setting the pace to suit the fitness of the group. Outings run in early morning and late afternoon, when temperatures are cooler and the bush light is softer. Bikes, helmets and water bottles are provided at the lodge, so no gear is needed beforehand. The route puts riders at eye level with the terrain rather than viewing it from a vehicle, a different way of covering ground once favoured by Mashatu's resident elephant herds.
